Accommodation
For foreign students wishing to study in England, we offer superior accommodation in our family home at Silchester, a village near the historic Roman town of Calleva Atrebatum.
The house, 'Macartneys', is of historical interest having been built in 1894 by Sir Mervyn Macartney, a prominent member of the Arts and Craft movement and surveyor to St Paul's Cathedral, 1911 - 1918.
Our facilities include single or double rooms with a private bathroom for guests with WC, bath, shower, basin and bidet.
'Macartneys' is a spacious property with a good library, music and computer facilities.
The house is set in a large garden (approximately 2 acres) with a tennis court situated in the woods at the far end of the property and a covered and heated swimming pool (June - October).
